Kill me lovingly

Poetry

Kill me slowly,
With reason
With rationale.
Take my voice,
And strangle it with care,
Gasp, gasp, gasp —
One finger, then two;
Watch me stutter,
Calmly, lovingly
Splintered words in my mouth
Pricking,
Bleeding,
Gushing
Out.
Four fingers and five
Gasp, gasp —
Make my voice fainter
Tell me, you are doing it for me.
Seven fingers, Eight
Gasp —
Track my tears in concern
Ask me not to cry.
Nine and ten

Squeeze with love
And watch me die.
